Doubrella - Double UmbrellaThe basic umbrella was invented over four thousand years ago, initially designed to provide shade from the sun. Egypt, Greece, Assyria, and China were the first countries to use them. The first to utilize umbrellas for rain protection were the Chinese – they waxed and lacquered their paper parasols to waterproof them. Samuel Fox created the steel ribbed umbrella design in 1852. Over a century later, compact collapsible umbrellas were produced.

The word “umbrella” comes from “umbra”, meaning shade or shadow in Latin. What about “Doubrella”? Huh? Well it’s really a no-brainer once you know what it is. The Doubrella is the brolly for two! Made from tough synthetic fibre, this umbrella easily covers two people – no more wet shoulders and arms. And don’t worry about the Doubrella being bulky or bothersome, it folds up neatly into the same size as a regular brolly.
