Cameras have indeed gone a long way in the world of Photography in terms of style, design, and technology. From the oldest of the olds to the most high-tech cameras, we have seen little to significant differences but the idea behind creating a camera is still the same—the objective is to record or capture images. So if you have the same objective, which is to simply take pictures, you can actually grab and use anything that has a viewfinder, lens and shutter in it (if you know what I mean). However, we always want a photo that is extraordinary, dramatic, something that is full of life. That’s why it is always important that we choose a camera that will give us the effect we want on our pictures.

Some cameras, particularly those instamatics, also known as point and shoot, create images that have, let’s just say, nothing fancy. In short, dull and boring images. Digital SLR’s (Single Lens Reflex) on the other hand are too techie to use although they would definitely give an impressive outcome. Also, when a photo is shot digitally, you can edit them with the use of a computer to achieve the desired effect. Some people who prefer simple and fun over a complicated and serious photo shoot experience choose Lomography cameras instead.

Lomography cameras are unlike your usual gadget! These cameras specialize in casual and fun and non-traditional photography. They give your pictures the effect you want them to have—blurry, burst or multiple framed, wide angled, fisheye effect, or underwater, oversaturated colors, over exposed, under exposed, and many more. Lomography cameras are definitely much simpler and fun to use. No need for formal education on Photography whatsoever, and no need to master the craft of enhancing images as well.

So what are the odds that you could come up with great images? Well, let’s just say, your photos can never go wrong with Lomography. With lomo cams, your images will always exude the drama and effect you’ve always wanted!
