Tips to Capturing Perfect Moments
Posted in Lomography at 8:34 am
If you’re an aspiring professional photographer or simply a photo enthusiast, here are the things that you might want to consider in pursuing your dream job or the hobby that you love:
- Never miss a photo opportunity. When a friend invites you to an event, say a dance or a costume party, don’t forget to bring with you your favorite camera.
- Do shoot in bursts. Shooting in burst in events such as weddings, debuts, and the likes gives you a chance to capture real emotions. This also is also gives you a lot of options in choosing the right pictures—if the subject blinks in one frame, chances are, the other frames captured the subject that is not blinking.
- Remember, in photography and even in lomography, timing is everything. Watch out for the moments that are loaded with much emotion. Capturing real emotions creates real drama to your photograph that even if the picture is raw, as in without photo enhancements done whatsoever, the image will turn out to be dramatic enough because of the subject. This perfect moment shot is best taken with a close up or an extreme close up.

- It’s not only the real emotions that can create drama to your image. You can also use films such as black and white or sepia. This helps shift your audience’s attention to the subject that’s standing out instead of subject blending with the background.
- Putting drama and character to a photograph is made easy with cameras that are preloaded with different effects. Like Lomography cameras—Fisheye, Holga, Colorsplash, etc—you can be like a pro without having a hard time adding the desired effects.
These are just some of the tips that will help you capture that perfect moment shot, producing nice pictures. Who knows, perhaps you can host your small exhibit with those.
