Watching a movie in 3D is a whole different experience. Surely, you wouldn’t want to watch period films like The Godfather and The Sound of Music nor The Shawshank Redemtion where the stories are just too interesting that you wouldn’t care if you heard it on the radio. But with action movies and graphic blockbusters, not watching it in 3D after seeing what 3D can offer is a bummer.

But the big screen is no longer the medium that can attribute such feat to its arsenal, the lowly flat screen TV has something to say as developers are saying that 3D TV is coming.

The bulky rear projection television sets have long experienced this mechanism but since 3D wasn’t such a big thing back then, not a lot were able to experience this feature.

And since many people earn flat screen TVs, and many films are in 3D, the end result became too obvious.

The guys bringing us the Blu-ray disc format said it had joined on a standard for a 3D version of the Blu-ray disc and 3D movie players are expected to come out this year also.
