The new game, dubbed as one of the darkest games which graced the Playstation 3 hits UK shops. The crime thriller has a very film noir effect to it. The director of Heavy Rain describes the game as one with dark themes and mature themes.

The story of Heavy Rain is something dark too. The game stars Ethan Mars, an architect who had lost his eldest son in a car accident, two years before the game began. Before the game, Ethan Mars had suffered a coma from the said car accident. He discovers that his estranged son is set to be the next victim of the Origami Killer, a notorious serial killer. Ethan goes to lengths to save Shaun.

The question wbich Heavy Rain poses is: “How far are you willing to go to save someone you love?”. The game is tense as it features and focuses heavily on the story and the emotional contact between the characters.
