How about letting your iPhone do the looking for you? UK dating site Lovestruck has recently made an iPhone app which lets the users find potential dates which are nearby. As a form of icebreaker, the app sends the potential dates an icebreaking electronic wink. IN the London area alone, Lovestruck has some 30,500 members. Pretty soon, the rest of the United Kingdom will get to experience the love hunting as the site plans to roll out in other UK cities.

The app works by first inputting your location by means of geotagging using the iPhone. Wherever you are, the app will you bring you its database.

Brett Harding of Lovestruck has this to say: “Picture this, you’re in a bar with your friends. Your iPhone vibrates in your pocket to let you know that a fellow Lovestrucker is either in the bar or fast approaching! Choosing to instantly wink or message them provides the perfect dating solution for busy single professionals.”

Pretty neat as it can help you look for love while you are waiting for your coffee in your local coffee shop. However, if you are on another date, the app can be switched off so that no Romeo can interfere with your date with your potential soulmate.
