Apple launches the 3G iPad
While the hype in the release of the more powerful iPad does not compare to when it was first released at the beginning of April, there was still some sizable hype when the 3G version was debuted in San Francisco. Crowds of some hundred lined up out of Apple in California to get their hands on the new iPad 3G.
The iPad 3G is notably more expensive than its predecessor which only had Wi-Fi.
“I’m going to take it everywhere with me, I already take my laptop everywhere, and it’ll definitely replace my laptop in a lot of cases,” said an excited customer Long Nguyen, 22, who works in the Information Technology industry in repairs.
Many of their excited new owners aim to use the iPad for fun, of course there are others who aim to use their newly acquired iPad for work.
“I travel a lot for work, and I have a lot of projects that are out in the field, so I think it will be useful for some of that,” according to 36 year old Gary Riley, who is an environmental engineer.
The 3G model of the iPad costs around £410.94 to £541.6. It is also Wifi compatible.
