You heard it right, just when we all thought Facebook could not possibly get any more monstrous, it locks cyber fingers with Yahoo! – another gargantuan internet monster (redundancy intended).

With designs of becoming the world’s ‘largest social network”, Yahoo! struck a deal to integrate the news feeds from Facebook into the engine’s core services.

This partnership promises to be very beneficial to users of both Facebook and Yahoo! services. For instance, within the week, Yahoo! Mail users will begon to experience an easy link-up to Facebook. This link enables them to view and share updates with their contacts across the two networks.

Yahoo! owned sites are also included in this deal. Members of the photo sharing site Flickr will be able to share the contents of
their Flickr accounts to Facebook and vice versa.

And we can all remember the merger between MSN and Yahoo that resulted to search engine that is out to take a chunk off the share of the market from their greatest competitor, Google.

An arrangement such as this would allow Yahoo! users to be as social and as interactive as they would like to be
without signing off Yahoo!
