3D TVs without glasses on the works by Sony and Toshiba
Earlier this week, Toshiba has announced that they will be working on 3D television sets that do not require glasses to be worn to be able to access this functionality.
The Japanese electronic giant, Sony, will be competing against Toshiba in this search for technology that will allow 3D viewing no matter how many the viewers are, that means that every one can see the images in 3D, not just the person wearing the 3D glasses.
Currently, Sony allows its users to see images on their screen in 3D. Panasonic also has this feature. But Yoshihisa Ishida, the senior vice president of the electronics industry main player, Sony, believes that they should go one step further with 3D television stating that, “Seeing 3D without glasses is more convenient,” he also adds that “We must take account of pricing before we can think about when to start offering them.”
Sony aims to be the market leader when it comes to 3D television and players and believes that they have their own movie studio will work towards their advantage.
