NeoGeo Station for the PlayStation
Nostalgic for 2D arcade games? PlayStation is about to make you happy and giddy and jumpy and jolly and … you get the point.
The NEOGEO is coming to the Playstation.
The Neo Geo, for the information of those who are of the younger generations, is a cartridg-baed arcade and home video game system released in 1990 by SNK.
The games in this old school console were not versions of arcade hits, the were arcade hits themselves, each cartridge contained the same hits that can be enjoyed at the arcade.
Even though the console came out for $650 and a cartridge can cost up to £200 in the UK, the came was popular and sustained its position. It saved children a lot of coins, and their parents were able to monitor them and they did not need to pay a visit to the nearest arcade.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of a generation defining console. there will be a new section in the PlayStation Network that will be dedicated to SNK’s most popular games.
The King of Fighters, Fatal Fury, Metal Slug, Samurai Showdown, almost all of those games that many have spent an unnecessary time playing during their childhood.
And for added value, the guys from Sony have enabled remote multiplayer capabilities, Versus and Co-op modes can be experienced through the Playstation Network.
Feeling old school? Gadgetepoint can sate your nostalgia with the large collection of toys.
