Apple App Store Offers a Treat for Babies
A book app specially designed for babies has just been released by Penguin Digital.
The Baby Touch Peekaboo App is designed to help enhance the hearing, visual, and motor skills of babies as young as three months old.
Thanks to the latest from the Apple app store, the popular Ladybird book series will find its latest incarnation on touch screen.
The Baby Touch Peekaboo App was designed for and tested on babies to enable them to interact with stories presented on a touch screen. Bright and attractive coupled with lively sounds will give life to the stories told through the new app with a simple touch on the screen.
The managing director of Penguin Digital mentioned that the target market of the app include babies from three to twelve months old. Aside from the autoplay tool which allows the parents to show the stories as a movie, the app is aptly designed so that six-month old babies may be able to operate the app on their own.
The Baby Touch Peekaboo App is the latest update of Penguin’s The Baby Touch series of books which was launched in 2005; the application is also UK’s first book app for babies.
