MelApp Checks Your Moles Cancer Risk
Why is that girl over there obsessing about her moles a taking close-up pictures of every single one of them?
She could be one of the many mole maniacs that we have in this world who believe that the size and quantity of their moles is their best asset. Either that or they have a MelApp on their iPhone.
Let’s take a chance that this girl has a MelApp, which is the more likely option. MelApp is a $2 application for the iPhone developed by the American Melanoma Foundation to help users identify the risks of melanoma of their skin.
Once a picture of the mole has been taken, it should be labelled and the diameter should also be identified. It would also be best to state how much the mole has been growing the past few weeks. After these information has been input on the iPhone, hit the “Check Risk” button.
The application then compares the mole’s look, diameter, and evolution vis-a-vis a very extensive database of moles and the mole is then identified to be either high risk or low risk.
The American Melanoma Foundation confirms the accuracy of the application and the database of the moles to which your mole will be compared to will be from a licensed database from John Hopkins University Medical Center.
Gadgetepoint has some cutesy devices. No cancer risk involved in these toys.
