Tired of your speakers being shattered or breaking up in pieces when you drop it? Well, the speakers by Shmuel Linski isn’t a sensible alternative option.

Well, the speakers from the Israeli industrial and product design student weighs 60 pounds each, that’s because their made of concrete.

And concrete seems to be his favorite material as he has also made a canoe and even a coffee maker from the solid and sturdy materiel.

So the problem of them shattering when you drop them is a non-existent problem since hoisting the 60 pound speaker is a problem in itself, but remember there are two speakers, so that means you’d be having two problems.

Durability? Of course it’s durable, the concrete speakers are made with, you guessed it right, concrete.

The driver and port are linked with the bass at the bottom and the driver at the top. THe port and the driver are linked by a 38-inch pipe; however, it is not lined with any sound-absorbent material, so that’s minus points for the concrete speakers.

As to the effect of the concrete to the actual sound quality, we’re not sure if there’s anything else noteworthy.

But hey, at least you know it’s durable.

“There’s a zombie on your lawn; you don’t want zombies on your lawn,” sang the sunflower on the credits of the hit Pop Cap game, Plants vs. Zombies. The sunflower has got it all wrong as zombies visiting the lawn, or pool, or even the roof has been one of the biggest hits to casual gamers last year.

People can’t get enough of zombies invading their PCs and Macs , and the publishers are thinking that it might be a good idea for Plants vs. Zombies to make a console debut — to the Xbox Live Arcade.

The release date will be some time in September but the entire details and the full enhancements, price and other details are still indefinite as the there is no word from yet from PopCap.

The tower defense has been such a huge hit. It could be because of the wit of the descriptions, the well thought of gameplay, the strategizing, or the cute graphics; there are a number of reasons why the game has been such a fan favorite and we’re sure that the game is a welcome addition to any platform.

The Teasmade Alarm Clock not only wakes you up, it also makes your tea for you.

And by stereoptype, British blokes are tea lovers, but when the Teasmade Alarm Clock, most likely it means time to wake up; and not necessarily tea time; but that shouldn’t stop you from appreciating this device.

The product is designed so that by the time that the alarm goes off, you’ll have hot water in the ceramic tea pot that comes along with the package that you can use to make tea, or coffee, or hot chocolate, or any hot drink for that matter.

The Teasmade Alarm Clock has a LCD-illuminated analog clock face, which is necessary for an alarm clock to be fully functional.

The pot can hold up to 2.5 cups of water. It would be advisable that you add the tea bag before you visit the sandman and night enters, so that you’ll wake up and the subtle aroma of tea leaves will tickle your sense of smell.

But there are already many alarm clock-coffee maker tie ups there. And since we’re talking about time and clocks, do you know what will be super cool? Gadgetepoint’s T-Clock T-Shirt.

The local rivals are trying to outshine each other for world dominance as LG, the world’s number 2 TV brand, unveiled its Full LED 3D TV to global market last May.

LG aims to break past its close rival, Sony Corporation of Japan and to nick off 25% of the growing global 3D TV market from Samsung.

Samsung was close to monopolizing the global 3D TV market since the launching its 3D TV in South Korea last February followed by the breath taking global launch in March held at Times Square featuring a performance by the Black eyed Peas and the appearance of Avatar director James Cameron, a known promoter and driver of 3D’s development on screen.

LG has two aces up its sleeve in this particular competition: First, its claim to fame is that the LG TV is made from a completely backlit LED screen which produces awesome picture quality compared to Samsung’s LED HDTV which has LED’s lit from the sides; affecting some portions of the screen to be of a different picture quality.

The other ace is that LG seems to recognize how heavy a purchase may be on the budget and thus included the 3D glasses in each package of its first release while Samsung had the accessories sold separately.

However, LG has a long way to go to overtake Samsung… this may just be the break the consumers are waiting on – for the 3D TV prices to drop.

In the mean time, take a quick browse through Gadgetepoint for gadgets and gift items that are surely worth your moolah.

Can the internet and moderm day electronics be robbing the authenticity of some of the things? Well, that’s one thing of looking at it. The other is that it’s much more convenient. Take a look at the iQuarium HD, it’s an aquarium for your iPhone.

Sure, the iQuarium is so much different from the real thing but the advantage of the iQuarium over the wet and real aquarium is that for one, the price, it’s only a dollar, compared to an aquarium where you have to think about the fish bowl, the fish itself, the decorations, and even the maintenance.

Another advantage is that you wouldn’t have to clean up for anything. No messy fish tank, no wet floor, nor do you need to scoop out any dead fish. You also need to think about what you would feed them. With the iQuarium, you still need to feed your beloved fish, except that of course, you feed them electronically. We know you’re smart enough not to put fish pellets in your iPhone…

The iQuarium is a virtual tank in your iPhone. Keep the fish happy and you’ll see it grow into a joyously swimming Parrot Cichlid fish. Forget mealtime and you’ll have a floating creature that used to be a living fish.

You can also effortlessly design your aquarium to your liking, you can purchase another fish, attractive decors and change the background with the fish points that you get from feeding your fish.

If gadgets and electronics are your thing, Gadgetepoint is the place to be.

So you hate cats?

You hate the stench of their excrements, or the sound that they make in the wee hours of the night, or the balls of fur that they seem to leave everywhere that they go to, or maybe you hate the mess that they can leave when they storm into your property?

We might not know the reason for your abhorrence to the felines but we’re sure that the ContechCatStop Ultrasonic Outdoor Cat Deterrent is something that you would feel much love for.

Of course the ContechCatStop Ultrasonic Outdoor Cat Deterrent wouldn’t hurt cats, it’s just the noise that this product emits that will keep those pesky furred animals away.

But wouldn’t you be bothered by the sound as well? Not really. The ultrasonic sound that comes out of the ContechCatStop Ultrasonic Outdoor Cat Deterrent is bound to be heard only by cats within a 330 square feet radius.

The sturdy, weather proof cat repellent required a 9 volt battery to be operational. And retails for £35.

For £14.49, you could purchase a repellent that keeps bugs and other pests away, and disgust towards these critters maybe something more universal than the lack of good emotions towards cats. If you’re pestered by these pests, Gadgetepoint’s Ultrasonic Pest Control Repeller is something more appropriate.

A hidden camera is a powerful gadget that everyone relies on when it comes to monitoring things 24/7. From store owners, to security people, to investigators, and even parents having to watch over their nanny choose to make use of spy cameras to have the protection and piece of mind they need.

Hidden cameras work wonders. Some cameras come in high resolution, some are wireless, others are in full color, some have sensors, and others are even disguised as something else.

Pinhole spy cameras feature an operation power that lasts from up to 5 hours. They are usually used as replacements for larger security cams that do not fit into the environment.

Cameras that are disguised as everyday objects such as wall clock, plant, lamp, stuffed toy, smoke alarm and many more are easy to put anywhere as they are very secretly concealed.

Bullet cameras are high-quality and compact security cam that are very convenient to use as they have waterproof feature, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

And then there is the famous Thumb Camera Micro DVR is perfect as a spy cam. This baby comes tiny-as-a-thumb but powerful enough to give the users a blow-by-blow account on what’s happening. Ideal for both spy and hidden camera, this cam is small enough to fit anywhere. With real time recording in 3GP video format, colour video with voice, and 33 hours of operation power, this gadget is indeed a winner!

This is just one of the typical scenarios in the world of a busy bee. But hey, haven’t you thought about giving yourself a break? I mean you deserve one after all. If you can’t afford to get lazy on both Saturday and Sunday, maybe you can choose your favorite time of the weekend to relax at least a couple of hours. Here’s our highly recommended weekend quick fix:

Prefer pancakes over cereals. For someone who’s always on the go like you, you’re palates are used to fast food. Making pancakes does not require a lot of effort. Have it topped with fruits and syrup. A scoop of ice cream makes it extra special. Or should you like something playful, why not serve yourself some mood toasts. It’s light, fun and hassle-free!

If you have your weekly workout routine, you can always do it while you’re engrossed in watching your favorite sci-fi movie. If the weather is good, have a nice stroll at the park while you grab your groceries, gardening tools or garage supplies.

Bathe and Relax. As in take your sweet time taking a shower. It’s not everyday that you feel as if you’re in a spa so take advantage of your fave time of the weekend. Try to light some magic candles or the scented ones. You can also do this while listening to a soothing music installed in your waterproof mp3.

Do work with fun on the side. It doesn’t matter if you do chores, fix a broken appliance, or work on that computer during the weekend for as long as you do it without injecting additional stress into your tired mind and aching muscles.

Once upon a time, I was sound asleep. I dreamt of a grand party with overflowing champagne and people all dressed in white. Everybody was having a good time with the music and the drinks. People were dancing all around. I, the host, was sitting on my couch with two beautiful ladies beside me. Everybody knew my name. Then without warning, nature called.

I casually excused myself from a group of friends and was on my way to the bathroom when I realized that my house didn’t have any. I looked at the master’s bedroom, the kitchen, the living room, the ballroom, the “boom boom” room – nothing.

My fantasy started to turn into a nightmare as I felt my bladder bursting with nature’s call. Then I woke up. Thank god I was back in my dirty little one room apartment. I got up and hit my shin on the edge of a night table.

Ouch.

I should really get my lava lamp fixed. I was feeling my way to the bathroom as my eyes adjusted to the darkness. Two stubbed toes and an eyeful of tears, I was in. All I needed to know was whether the seat was up or down lest I get an earful from the Missis tomorrow. Apparently it was down. I don’t think I need to go into detail with what happens next so let’s skip it.

After I answered the call, I had to make sure there weren’t any “droplets” if you know what I mean. I had to open the light. FLASH! That really hurts my eyes. No droplets. Good. Now it’s time to get back to my bed. After I turning off the lights and after another stubbed toe and an eyeful of tears, I lied down and attempted to return to my white party. There has got to be a better way to navigate to the toilet without killing my toes. I need to get that Lav Nav my friend keeps talking about. All I have to do then is follow the light at the end of the hallway to answer nature’s calls.
