Takuji Narumi of the University of Tokyo is venturing into another aspect of virtual reality — food.

There have been numerous attempts at virtual reality that involves gaming, sports, and other physical activity, but a few have ventures into this aspect.

With the Meta Cookie, you wear some weird tubed contraption on your head. It allows you to view the cookie at your hand from a different light and a different smell.

You start off with selecting the cookie flavor that will make your mouth water most; grab an actual cookie. This is the time that the Meta Cookie works its magic, it makes a plain old bland cookie look like the scrumptuous pastry you’ve ever seen by altering how it looks like through the goggles, plus it adds scents to the whole picture to make you think like you’re munching on the genuine article.

Of course, the device may be on the expensive side, and you’re better off buying an actual cookie instead of cheating like this.

But think of the scientific implications of the Meta Cookie for people with diabetes and other conditions that require them to monitor and restrict their diets on a regular basis.

To you, what is the perfect coffee mug? Does it have to be extravagantly designed? Does it have to smell like coffee itself? Or does it need to have flashing lights in it that show you the nutrition facts and how many cups you’ve drank that day?

Mugs like the Retro Heat Change Mug maybe the most entertaining mug there is, but if it isn’t your thing let’s explore other options.

The guys from the Fraunhofer Institute of Germany would like to keep it keep it simple. What should a coffee mug do? It should be able to contain your coffee and keep it hot. And that’s what makes the Perfect Coffee Mug just perfect.

The Perfect Coffee Mug keeps your coffee as hot as it was the moment that you poured it without you having to put a lid on it.

The mug has an aluminum frame that is coated with ceramic along its edges. The space between the frame and its edges have a changing material in it that acts as a mechanism that keeps heat by maintaining the same temperature once it absorbs heat from the coffee.

What’s good about it is that you don’t even need to plug the device. Because, come on, no one wants to drink from a coffee mug with wires coming out from it.

The mug is still in its planning and preproduction phase but coffee lovers are all waiting for it to hit the market and gadgetepoint because that is where the cool gadgets can be found.

It was a cold November night. I just got back from an overtime gig at work. I’m tired and weary and all I wanted to have was a nice, hot cup of tea. When I opened the cabinet in the kitchen, low and behold, my cup was missing. The mystery of the disappearing cup was on. After two hours of searching, I found the cup on the night table of my sister. She had used it because it was conveniently in front of the row of cups in the cabinet. From then on, I vowed revenge. But I had a problem. I had a very sharp tongue. Taking this fact into consideration, I had to find a way to keep my cup out of the hands of other people without spitting at their faces.

I found it – the solution to all my missing cup problems. I started to use the Plug Mug and the results were almost instantaneous. One night I got home and I saw the mug on the kitchen counter. Its inside had traces of water. She must have taken the cup and not realized that there was a hole at the bottom. She, being her lazy self, must have just ditched the cup when the water started spewing from its hole.

The following night, I came home from work tired as a bull who worked on the field all day long. I opened the cabinet to find my favorite cup untouched and unmoved from its position. With a smile, I reached into my pocket for the plug to the hole, filled it with hot water and proceeded to make my tea. Nothing beats a hot drink on a cold November night.

It’s a Sunday. You decide to order some Chinese food, sit down in front of your television and watch the football games. You wonder how things are going to go once the games begin. Will your favorite team win? Will your beer get cold enough in time? Will you be able to finish your food with your hand-eye coordination in the fritz? Can you get those last scraps of sweet and sour beef at the bottom of its container? Isn’t it a wonderful thing to have the FrogGetMee chopstick spoon in your cupboard? While you think of those, here are some helpful tips and suggestions to make the most out of this product.

1. Use it as it was made to be used. You have your chopsticks. You have your Chinese. Pick it up and start eating. There’s nothing else to it.

2. Use the spoon side to get a mouthful of rice. The advantage of having a spoon built into chopsticks is that you can get the stragglers at the bottom of that cardboard container with it.

3. Load some peas up on the spoon side and fire some shots at your television. Nobody scores on your team. Aim for the opposing quarterback’s head. If you have some friends over, aim for their heads.

4. Pour some beer into the spoon side and sip on it – soup style. You might just invent a new way to drink beer!

Think about these helpful tips and suggestions to make your slow Sunday evening more interesting. On a side note: Don’t stick the chopsticks up your nose. It’s not hygienic.

If you’re tired of constantly reminding your kids and your husband to please, kindly use a coaster, the Cheesy Coasters just might do the trick. Tired and boring old coaster designs are very forgettable, but coasters that look like real cheese are more fun to use and also fun to show off to friends and officemates.

Aside from its quirky and unconventional design, the Cheesy Coasters are made of durable plastic and are very easy to clean. Perfect for parties, house guests, sleep overs, or just plain everyday use. Dimensions are approximately 8.5×8.3×0.3 cm. The Cheesy Coasters are definitely better-looking, and since it’s made from plastic, protects your lovely wooden table from rings better and lasts longer than those old cork coasters.
