When we hear “waterproof speaker”, we think that the speaker itself can sustain or is impenetrable to water, but this new speaker called Music Planet from the Japanese company Idea Label, is designed to not only be water proof but it also bobs about in your bath tub or any surface of water.

The circular shape of the Music Planet and the material makes it bouyant, it’s a ball shaped MP3 player that will make your bath tub its new home.

If the perforated speaker part where the sound comes from is immersed in water, it can last up to 30 minutes for a meter’s depth. But that is unnecessary since the the Music Planet floats.

The device has an FM radio tuner, an alarm clock and speakers, it has a memory card slot and has a USB port.

Imagine all of the long hours you can spend lounging at your bath tub while listening to the most relaxing sounds, plus add scents of lavender and chamomile… that’s a nice idea for a new gadget, a floating speaker that is aromatic as well.
